Windshifter eBook SM Johnson Reviews
Not your usual dragons. This was a great read, that kept me engaged. A story that is lighthearted, but not hiding its darker secrets. Quick character development allowed for the reader to keep their thoughts on the story at hand, while understanding the characters' points of view. Great read.
Windshifter is a fast paced book set in a very interesting world, full of all kinds of wonders - perhaps the only real criticism I can level at the book is that we don't see enough of it! The characters are developed and believable, the plot moves with excellent pacing, and the writing is tight and highly enjoyable. Moments of humor pepper the book but the author wasn't afraid to explore a couple of darker themes. Recommended for pretty much everyone.
I found the author originally from her blog. An enjoyable read and I hope the author continues to practice her craft.
It was a very fun read with plenty of action and adventure, perfect for kids in their early teens or the young at heart. Still plenty of fun to be found by adult readers, as well as with some of the deeper thematic threads woven in there. Can't beat a good bit of steampunk either!
